AI Maturity Assessment
Understanding the true state of
AI competence in your organisation
Measuring AI competence where it matters: at the level of actual impact
Many organisations measure AI competence in the wrong way. They count completed training courses, distributed licences, or registered users. But an employee who has finished an online course is not yet a capable AI user. And a paid licence that nobody uses regularly is a wasted investment.
The decisive question is not “Have your employees completed AI training?” – but “Is AI actually changing daily work and generating measurable value?”
Our AI Maturity Assessment answers precisely that question. It evaluates the AI competence of your organisation at the level that matters: frequency of use, quality of application, and actual influence on working outcomes. And it addresses a blind spot most organisations have yet to recognise: the Imagination Gap.
Our Packages
What is the Imagination Gap? – Using AI creatively and effectively
Increasingly, the greatest barrier to AI adoption is no longer “How do I operate an AI tool?” – but “What could I actually use AI for in my specific role?” Employees have access to powerful tools, yet lack a clear sense of where AI could add real value to their daily responsibilities.
The Imagination Gap is harder to close than a knowledge gap. It requires not more training, but different triggers: concrete examples from one’s own working context, exchange with colleagues who have already found creative applications, and the space to experiment.
Our assessment identifies this blind spot directly – and provides the foundation for measures that genuinely work.
Who is the AI Maturity Assessment for?
For managing directors and HR leaders who want to understand the true state of AI competence within their organisation. For organisations that have already introduced AI tools but are uncertain whether the investment is delivering the expected value. And for leaders who want to invest their training budgets where they will have the greatest effect – rather than spreading them thinly across the board.
What We Measure and How
Additionally, we conduct interviews with key personnel and team leaders, and analyse existing usage data from AI tools where available.
Where are the AI champions, where the sceptics? Which teams use AI productively, which barely at all? And where is the imagination gap — where it is not skills that are lacking, but ideas for application?
Where is targeted training worthwhile? Where are inspiration and best practice exchange more effective? Where are structural changes needed so that AI becomes part of everyday work?
What your organisation receives
An AI Maturity Report with an overall assessment of your organisation’s AI competence. A competence mapping showing the distribution of competence levels across teams and departments. An Imagination Gap analysis identifying where untapped potential exists – not due to missing skills, but to missing ideas for application. A prioritised action plan for training, enablement, and scaling. And a contextualisation of your organisation’s position relative to typical maturity levels within your sector.
Investment and conditions
Duration: 2–3 weeks
Investment: Fixed pricing, dependent on organisation size – get in touch to discuss investment options.
What comes next?
The AI Maturity Assessment shows where your organisation stands – and where targeted investment is needed. Depending on the results, different next steps are appropriate:
- AI Strategy Development, if the findings reveal that a strategic framework is missing.
- Change Management, if AI adoption is too low. A workshop to explore where AI can add value, if the Imagination Gap is the primary barrier.
- Or the AI Leadership Transformation, if the leadership team itself has yet to become AI-capable.
